Frequently Asked Questions
DOES FILMY WORK IN DAVINCI RESOLVE?
Yes, both the PowerGrades and the LUTs were designed in DaVinci Resolve. PowerGrades only work in DaVinci Resolve and allow for customization to your own tastes!
DOES FILMY WORK IN PREMIERE PRO / FINAL CUT PRO?
Definitely! The Filmy LUT Bundle will work in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and any other editing programs that accept a .cube file. The Filmy PowerGrade Bundle will only work in Davinci Resolve, however.
DO I USE THE .DRX OR .DPX FILE IN MY POWERGRADES?
If you're working with PowerGrades in DaVinci Resolve, go with .drx files — they save all your color grading settings like nodes and adjustments. .dpx files are just image files, so they won’t keep any of your grade info. That said, it’s still a good idea to keep the .dpx file on hand as a high-quality reference image for matching or previewing the final look.
WHAT WILL I RECEIVE WITH MY PURCHASE?
- Filmy LUTs, customized for Sony, Canon, Black Magic, RED, ARRI, and already converted REC709 footage (.cube 65 files
- Filmy Monitoring LUTs (.cube 33 LUTs)
- .drx and .dpx file if you purchase the PowerGrade bundle
- Installation and How to Use + Node Breakdown Tutorial
DO I NEED ANY THIRD PARTY PLUG-INS?
Nope! The LUTs are used within each editing software's LUT area.
The Filmy PowerGrade is 100% built with DaVinci Resolve's native tools, so no need for any 3rd Party Plugins!
WHAT CAMERA PROFILES ARE SUPPORTED?
